Raphael started life in ‘lights’ at a very young age: he was a wonderful soprano and became well-known for his heart-rending singing voice. Over the years Raphael worked in theatre, film and TV and as time went on moved from performer to director. During his years living in the south of France he was instrumental in setting up Objets et Images and was involved in numerous creative ventures from exhibitions of art on canvas, paper and porcelain to documentary videos to a full-scale symposium on the shared religious histories of Arles and Canterbury. He is now engrossed in the work of Res et Artes and is always on the look out for captivating stories.
